Paying for parking at Macclesfield Hospital

Pay on exit system - how to pay

Following feedback from users of our car parks, the trust introduced a simper pay-on-exit parking system in May 2019.

New more user-friendly kiosks now offering a variety of payment options for car parking. Patients and visitors should follow the guidance below to use the new car parking system:

  • Arrive in the car park and find a space
  • Attend your appointment / visit
  • When you are ready to leave, go to one the kiosks which are sited immediately outside of the hospital entrances or the kiosk sited under the decked car park
  • Enter your full vehicle registration number into the kiosk
  • Select the photo of your vehicle
  • Make payment
  • Return to your vehicle and leave the hospital site

For vehicles parked less than 30 minutes, the screen will tell the driver that there is no car parking tariff to pay and they should leave the hospital site.

The trust is also introducing a new payment option – good2go.  New users will be able to register for car parking up to 24 hours after visiting the hospital and all users choosing this option will receive free car parking for their first visit. For further visits the system will identify that you have opted to register via good2go and your parking tariff will automatically be deducted on each occasion that you visit the hospital to cover your stay if you have stayed longer than 30 minutes.

For further information or to register visit the good2go website or see the car park signage.
