Parking Charge Notices (PCNs)

Please note that motorists who fail to pay the appropriate tariff for their stay at Macclesfield Hospital may be issued with a parking charge notice (PCN) by trust contractor ParkingEye. These charges are set at £70 or £42 if paid within 14 days.

There is however a thorough appeals process to waive these charges in appropriate circumstances, such as medical emergencies. Details of how to appeal are issued with parking charge notices. ParkingEye has substantial experience managing parking facilities for NHS organisations and operates a dedicated NHS-specific appeals team. This team considers any appeals based on guidance issued by the trust.

Additionally, any motorists who have their initial appeal rejected by ParkingEye and the trust are able to further appeal through the independent body POPLA (Parking on Private Land Appeals). Click here for further information about making an appeal through POPLA.
