Macclesfield District General Hospital

Macclesfield District General Hospital, a modern, purpose built hospital, was opened in the 1980s, replacing a much older, traditional infirmary.

A range of services are housed at the hospital, including accident and emergency, maternity, outpatients and the Macmillan Cancer Resource Centre

Macclesfield District General Hospital aims to be the hospital of choice for residents of Eastern Cheshire and neighbouring areas and aims to provide safe, efficient and effective care in a clean and friendly environment.

East Cheshire NHS Trust is based at at the Macclesfield District General Hospital site. We also provide inpatient care at Congleton War Memorial Hospital.
