Public Statement on Quality

A focus on safety and quality has always been central to everything we do at East Cheshire NHS Trust. The Board, through its Safety Quality and Standards Committee, oversee the maintenance of the quality standards which are in place and challenge the organisation to further improve services and care for the benefit of our patients.

Quality Strategy 2019 - 2022

High quality care should be as safe and effective as possible, with patients treated with compassion, dignity and respect. As well as clinical quality and safety, quality means care that is personal to each individual.

CQC standards

The CQC regulates care provided by the NHS, local authorities, private companies and voluntary organisations. They aim to make sure better care is provided for everyone - in hospitals, care homes and people's own homes and ensure standards are met.

Patient experience - privacy and dignity

The trust has focused on continuing to improve privacy and dignity for patients. Alterations have been made to increase the number of bathrooms and toilets and additional staff training has been given.
The trust provides same sex accommodation unless there is clinical justification for an exception.
