
Lynn took up her role as Chairman on 1 November. Prior to that Lynn was Non Executive Director in 2003 and appointed as Vice Chair in December 2009. As a Director with Veredus, an executive search and selection organisation and part of the Capita Group plc, Lynn brings a combination of proven business acumen, a strong understanding of board level competency and has led, grown and developed businesses, helping them to transition their offering in a changing market. Having led teams as a major supplier of services to the private, public and third sectors and the health industry for more than 20 years, she brings valuable insight into the NHS and East Cheshirein particular.
Lynn also sat as a lay member on Mersey Deanery 2005- 2008, the arm of the Strategic Health Authority responsible for the recruitment and training of post graduate doctors and dentists. Lynn chairs the Remuneration Committee and is a member of the Safety, Quality and Standards Committee, the HR Shared Service Governance Committee which offers HR Service to other NHS trusts and organisations. She is also, a Trustee of the Charitable Funds Committee and a ‘friend ‘ of East Cheshire Hospice.
Lynn has a family of three grown up children and is totally committed to safety, quality and ensuring that every patient is treated right first time and with the dignity and respect they deserve.

Stewart took up his position as Non Executive Director of the trust in November 2007.
Stewart has a strong desire to see the NHS provide the best possible service for patients and does not believe that second best is good enough.
Stewart is a member of the trust’s Remuneration Committee, Audit Committee and is Chair of the Charitable Funds Committee.
Stewart has over 30 years experience in banking and financial services with various senior executive positions being held in Alliance & Leicester.
Outside the trust, Stewart is Deputy Chair of the NHS Audit North West Consortium. This is the body which provides a number of NHS trusts in the North West with internal audit services.
Stewart lives in Knutsford and is married to Ann. They have a daughter and son who have both left home he thinks!
Stewart has many outside interests including following Motherwell FC, watching ice hockey and walking his dog Jake.

Tony Coombs joined the trust as a Non Executive Director in December 2009. Tony is a scientist by training with a doctorate in medicinal chemistry from Oxford followed by post-doctoral work at the University of Otago in New Zealand supported by a travelling fellowship from the Royal Society. He has 23 years experience in the healthcare industry, most latterly as the chief executive officer of the Swiss pharmaceutical company Vifor Pharma in the Galenica group.
Tony has a strong track record in marketing, communications and in general management as well as considerable experience in organisational change. He strongly believes in the empowerment of the individual and in the need both for effective team working and for clear and transparent communication. Having had a UK base in the Macclesfield area for over 17 years Tony and his family have benefitted from the services of the hospital and he passionately believes in the vision of the trust being ‘the hospital in which you would wish to be treated’.
As well as holding the position as Non Executive Director, Tony is also a member of the Audit and Remuneration Committees of the trust and he is closely involved with projects concerning the future strategic development of the organisation.
Tony lives in Rainow and is married to Sigrid – they have three children and an Airedale terrier. He has many interests outside professional pursuits including walking, skiing, music and good food and wine.

Neil took up his position as Non Executive Director of the trust in May 2009 and he also is Chair of the Audit Committee and a member of the HR Governance Board.
He is an engineer by training and was educated at Imperial College, London. He has over 30 years experience of manufacturing, services and IT developed within the aerospace and defence industry and government. He retired from BAE Systems after 32 years service in 2009 to establish his own management consultancy business.
Apart from his position at East Cheshire NHS Trust, Neil has a number of non executive and audit committee appointments in both public and private sectors. He is a board member at IFS ab, a Swedish business software plc and at the Information Commissioner's Office based in Wilmslow. He is also a longstanding non executive director at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office Services Agency, services to which he was awarded an OBE in 2011.
Neil lives in Wilmslow and is married with two sons aged 11 and 12. He is also an avid Manchester United supporter.

Phil Edgington comes to the trust with a wide range of executive and non-executive board experience across the public, private and not for profit sectors.
His most recent executive role has been as CEO of Community Integrated Care. This national provider of health and social care services has successfully developed new community based services in partnership with commissioners and by acquisition.
Phil’s early commercial and business leadership roles were in the energy sector, but following a period as chief executive of a health authority in New Zealand, he has been keenly interested in the challenge of healthcare delivery. Whether in energy, health or social care sectors, Phil has always enjoyed leading organisations that are at the forefront of change bringing challenge to existing practices by placing great value on the experience and insight of the individuals delivering quality services.
Having held a number of non-executive and executive roles in the UK and New Zealand, Phil is keenly aware of the need for good governance that engages in strategic leadership but provides the best support and accountability framework for an Executive Team to manage and deliver effectively.
Phil and his wife Janet live in Wilmslow and they have two adult children who also live in Cheshire.
